Our daughter got married!
On September 6th, we celebrated her wedding in the mountains of Colorado. It was a small wedding with 15 close family members and friends and the ceremony was beautiful and the whole weekend was a blessing! And yes, we took on the challenge of coordinating the food!
Planning a wedding is no small feat. But planning the meals for an entire wedding weekend? That’s a whole other adventure! We knew the key was prep, prep, prep – so we cooked ahead, kept things organized (maybe we should call it organized chaos), and made sure family and friends were well-fed without adding extra stress to the big day.
In this video, we’re sharing exactly how we did it – from breakfasts to snacks to crowd-pleasing meals.
Here’s the recipes we prepared ahead of time:
✅ Taco bar fixings (Seasoned Slow Cooker Chicken, Ground Beef for Tacos, and Quick Pickled Veggies)
✅ Rise and Shine Veggie Breakfast Bake and Roasted Veggie Breakfast Burritos
✅ Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins
✅ Smarty Pants Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies and Harvest Pumpkin Bars
✅ Garlic Dill Pickle Hummus and Sweet and Spicy Sriracha Carrot Hummus
Whether you’re planning a wedding, family reunion, or just a big gathering, these ideas can help you stay organized, save time, and keep everyone happy (and full!).
Coaching Tip of the Week

How often do you find yourself staring at the clock at 5:00 PM thinking, “What in the world are we going to do for dinner?” That’s usually when takeout, pizza delivery, or a thrown-together (not-so-healthy) meal sneaks in.
Here’s the truth: meal planning doesn’t just save you time and money – it also protects your sanity and helps you eat healthier. With just a little planning and organization, you can take the stress out of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even snacks.
If a busy weekend like a wedding can be made smoother with a little planning, just imagine how much easier it can make your week! Check out this coaching tip for tips, ideas and inspiration (along with a downloadable meal planning calendar)!
