Hi! I’m Zonya Foco. (To pronounce, just think “Lasagna Cocoa”… yes I know….perfect for a nutritionist!). I have been a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist for over 25 years, authored the best-selling cookbook Lickety-Split Meals, created my DIET FREE health and wellness program used by organizations across the nation, hosted “Zonya’s Health Bites” on Public Television, and currently speak professionally on the topics of health and wellness to roughly 15,000 people per year.
I have dedicated my life’s work to making the healthy choice the easy choice, and my participation at Eat Real America is simply the next great step! My DIET FREE program establishes REAL eating by introducing one healthy eating habit at a time, progressively working toward Habit 6, “Replace processed food with wholesome,..and shop natural, close-to-the farm.” Eat Real America is the perfect continuation of my passion for helping others discover good health, and I could not be MORE excited to partner with Krista in this venture!

Nutritional analysis to each recipe
I agree with Eat REAL America's philosophy that if you eat REAL food, you will get the nutrients you need, but this information may be extremely helpful for those who may be managing high blood pressure or diabetes (or even those who want to monitor nutritional information to protect themselves from these conditions). While we don't want any of you to become obsessed with counting calories, carbs, or fat grams, sometimes it's just plain helpful to know what is in a serving!
More video instruction
Drawing on my years of TV experience and the professional videography talents of my husband and son, we’ll be bringing you lots of video instruction from our Michigan-based studio kitchen. Many times watching a video is all that is needed to get you over the hump of trying something new like avocado, mango or spaghetti squash. Sometimes it will be me on camera, sometimes Krista, either way, we hope to keep you always growing in your love and knowledge of EATING REAL!
Time-saving tips and tricks
We'll be incorporating my “cooking at a glance” recipe format that has received so much positive feedback from readers of my Lickety-Split Meals cookbook. Being able to easily navigate each recipe will save you more time and energy…you are going to love it!
