I have said this at least 50 times in the past few days…
I am in total awe of the beauty that surrounds us in our new home.
The rolling hills, the fall colors, the peaceful mornings – it’s absolutely breathtaking. And the Farmers’ Market of the Ozarks does not disappoint! We found a wide variety of fresh, seasonal produce, and continue to get to know many of these amazing local growers. As if that weren’t enough, we capped off the weekend with a dinner hosted by a foraging chef! We will share more soon, but one highlight was the roasted acorn squash filled with wild rice, chestnuts, and autumn herbs, finished with juniper oil and sumac. It was incredibly delicious!
Rewinding a couple of weeks…we wrapped up our 28 years in Wichita with a special anniversary dinner. The following weekend, our son came to town so we could meet his new puppy, Hazel – and those puppy snuggles definitely helped melt away the moving stress! 🐾
Next, we took a quick trip to Kansas City to spend time with our parents and do a cooking demo for local wellness program. It was so much fun talking to the employees in person again (a nice change from our usual virtual sessions with this company)! The team loved the Snickers Inspired Stuffed Dates and the Cabbage Apple and Pear Salad – simple, delicious, and energizing!
Then came moving day – lots of boxes, goodbyes, and a whirlwind of emotions. Our multi-talented movers got everything to our new home safely and we’ve been busy unpacking, arranging (and rearranging!). The new kitchen is quickly becoming our happy place!
In this week’s video, join us as we settle in, take in the natural beauty all around, and start to enjoy everything this new home — and new chapter — has to offer. If you’ve ever thought about making a big change, we hope this inspires you to embrace it, find joy in the chaos, and savor every moment.
🎥 Check it all out in this week’s video!

Coaching Tip of the Week

As November rolls around, we can’t help but start thinking about the holidays.
And there is one fruit that always makes an appearance this time of year (20% of annual consumption happens during Thanksgiving week!) Cranberries!
They’re tart, vibrant, and packed with antioxidants – and they deserve a spot in your kitchen beyond the holidays. In our coaching tip, we dive into where they come from, why they’re so nutritious and, most importantly, how to enjoy them this holiday season. (Yes, we even talk about that red, wobbly dish that shows up on so many Thanksgiving tables!)
