Why We Like It
We love having bite-sized sweet treats on hand to satisfy those sweet cravings. This one was inspired by an Eat REAL America member and, yes, it tastes like a Snickers bar! Plus, it only requires 4 REAL ingredients and is so super-easy to prepare, watch our video to see how! Keep them in the fridge for an ideal grab and go sweet treat!
Prepare the Stuffed Dates:
|
Cut a slit in the top of your dates – lengthwise. Remove the pits if dates are not already pitted. Then, add a teaspoon of peanut butter inside each date and press the halves of the dates together slightly. Melt dark chocolate chips or dark chocolate and use a fork or spoon to drizzle dark chocolate on top of the dates. If desired, you can add 1/4 tsp of coconut oil to the chocolate before melting for a slightly smoother texture and to help it harden. Sprinkle chopped peanuts on top. (If peanuts are not salted, you can also sprinkle a tiny bit of salt on top.) Place in the freezer for 20-30 minutes for them to set and chocolate to harden. |
Serve and Enjoy!
You can store the stuffed dates in your refrigerator for a sweet treat craving! You can also store them in the freezer, but you want to let them thaw before eating. |
