We Want to Donate $100 to Your Favorite Charity!

Each and every day, you all inspire us, and we are so thankful for all of you!

We love hearing all your stories about the changes you are making and how your own REAL food journeys are changing your lives.  And how you are using your experience and knowledge to inspire others to do the same!  You continue to be so generous with your stories, support and encouragement…

as a thank you, we want to pass this generosity on to some of your favorite organizations!

For the first 25 people who provide a recommendation in the comments below, we will donate $100 to YOUR recommended charitable organization!

What’s the catch?

There is none!

Based on your recommendations, we will donate $2,500!

The only requirements are:

  • It needs to be a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
  • We would love to donate to organizations that are doing something to encourage healthy lifestyles!

So, act fast!

Please provide your recommendation in the comments section below:

  • If you know the EIN # (employer identification number), that would be helpful (you can quickly find it using the GuideStar search engine).  If you don’t have it (or don’t have time to look it up), feel free to go ahead and reserve your spot, and then you can come back and update it with the EIN.
  • If you want us to mention your name in the gift, please let us know.
  • If you want the gift to be in memory or in honor of someone, please include this info in your comment.

Why are we doing this?

Your stories continue to inspire us, and we want to give back and help you support charitable organizations that are advancing the mission of helping people be as healthy as possible.  You are probably involved with organizations in your community who are doing great things to help people live healthfully and we want to honor you by helping to support those organizations.

While $100 isn’t life-changing, we all know that these organizations welcome any and all support, especially in the environment we are currently in.

Believe it or not, this is our 6th year doing this and we are so humbled and blessed…we will have reached $15,000 in donations after this year!  Over the last four years, your recommendations resulted in donations to organizations such as:

  1. Hi

    Sometimes I donate through greatergood.com

Everyday they have great charities with various missions.

If you can please donate through greatergood.com and if you can

I do believe nutrition and helping those who are hungry go hand in hand

    Thanks

Mission: Detroit Food Academy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that works to inspire young Detroiters (ages 10-24) through culinary arts and food entrepreneurship. From cooking delicious healthy meals for friends and family to facilitating complex conversations with community to developing artisan food projects from scratch to market, students learn by transforming their ideas into reality. Through this process, they grow as holistic leaders who are healthy, connected, and powerful to affect change in our communities and beyond.

    Storytime Village
    https://www.storytimevillage.org/
    EIN: 90-0450507

While children’s literacy is their main initiative, they also offer culinary experiences in the evenings as part of their Read & RISE program. This brings families together to learn about healthy eating, following directions to cook for the students, and then a time to learn about the importance of literacy for their children. I’ve been a proud board member for the past five years. Thank you!!
