Aimee’s Inspiring Story of Conquering High Cholesterol!


Are you ready for some more inspiration?

You may remember Lee’s inspiring story that we shared a few months ago.

In just six months, Lee lost 40 pounds, reversed her prediabetes, brought not only her cholesterol, but all of her numbers back to healthy levels, and had her doctor saying, “whatever you’re doing, just keep doing it!”  

As if that wasn’t enough, her heartburn (that she struggled with for years) was completely gone within two weeks and her IBS (irritable bowel syndrome, which she feels like she struggled with forever!) was also gone within a month!  We continue to be inspired by Lee’s amazing results!

 

This week, we want to share Aimee’s truly astonishing and incredibly inspiring story…

Aimee contacted us in January and my heart was aching for her.  I could actually feel her frustration and desperation through her email.

She was searching for something to help lower her very high cholesterol.  She had been on the keto diet for a couple of years, and had lost 60 lbs., but now her cholesterol was dangerously high and her doctor was wanting her to start a statin.  Aimee was desperate to find another alternative because she was dreading the side effects and did not want to be on medication.  She had done so much research that her head was spinning, she was overwhelmed, completely confused, frustrated and desperate for help.  Does this sound like you or someone you love?!

Watch our video to hear more about Aimee’s incredible journey and remarkable results!  Aimee shares how she dropped her total cholesterol by 228 points (yes, you read that right, it went from 418 to 190).  And her LDL (lousy cholesterol) went down by 167 points (from 281 to 114)!  Like Lee, she did this in just 6 months, by focusing on REAL food!

 

 

Even more than just lowering cholesterol…

Aimee also shared some other helpful insights about her journey over the last 6 months:

 

  • She is no longer taking any medications.  She was able to discontinue her blood pressure medication, and it is now perfectly normal (around 100/60)!
  • Aimee shared what she was doing with her aunt, who was inspired and has now lost 15 pounds.  She wasn’t really after the weight loss but was just trying to eat healthier and feel better.  Losing the weight is an added bonus!
  • While her transition from Keto to REAL food wasn’t hard, she felt like she had to reprogram her mind.  She felt like she had been “brainwashed” on Keto and feels so much more freedom now with her food choices.  Looking back, she also realizes she didn’t need to spend all the money on the specific sweeteners, flours and other foods that are part of the Keto diet.
  • She has fallen in love with all the fresh, local produce that is available right now in her area.  She stops at the roadside stands and is enjoying the local produce before winter sets in!

  1. Congratulations Aimee! I am very happy for your results, Yay.
    I have a similar story with very different results. My cholesterol has been hovering around 240 with a peak of 269 toward end of 2023. I was searching YouTube for ideas to deal with cholesterol came across Zonya joined the January class. Followed it religiously ate like a monk, increased my cardio to 75 minutes a day and my cholesterol in August rose to 304. I’m resigned to take statins at this point.

    • I am not a doctor, so take this for what it is. Just friendly suggestions. In addition to following Zonya and Krista, I see a lifestyle medicine provider who is totally whole food plant based. I flip-flopped on eating meat and oil for the first year I went to him. He encouraged me to try going all in on plant-based for three months. I have been staying faithful to it and am seeing a difference. I haven’t had new bloodwork done yet because it’s not time, but I am losing weight and most important to me is that I’m weaning off my blood pressure meds with great success. I know when we go out I get some oil in my food, but at home I cook without it. I know there are many studies that say olive oil is good for you, but it also is pure fat and the most calorie dense food on the planet. Why not eat the whole olive instead?
