We Want to Donate $100 to Your Favorite Charity!

Hands forming the shape of a heart with the caption "TOGETHER...WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!"

We love hearing all of your stories – the small wins, the big changes, and the ways your REAL food journeys are creating ripple effects in your lives and the lives of others.  We’re continually moved by how you use your experience and knowledge to encourage healthier living in your families, workplaces, and communities!

As a heartfelt thank you, we want to pass that generosity forward.

For the first 25 Eat REAL America members who comment below with a recommendation, we will donate $100 to YOUR recommended charitable organization – a total of $2,500 in giving from our community!

The only requirements are:

  • It needs to be a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
  • We would love to prioritize organizations that support or encourage healthy lifestyles!

So, act fast!

The tip of a pen writing the words "thank you"

Provide your recommendation in the comments section below with:

  • The name of your charity
  • The EIN (Employer Identification Number) if you have it (this helps us donate quickly – you can find it on GuideStar).  If you don’t have it, feel free to go ahead and reserve your spot, and then you can come back and update it with the EIN.
  • If you want us to mention your name in the gift, please let us know.
  • If you want the gift to be in honor or in memory of someone special, please include this info in your comment.

Why are we doing this?

Because you inspire us – and your passion for meaningful, healthy change deserves to be celebrated and supported.

Many of you are involved in incredible organizations that are making a real difference in your local communities, and we want to come alongside you in that mission.

Two open hands with the caption "Helping one person might not change the world, but it could change the world for one person."

While $100 might not change the world on its own, we know from experience that every dollar makes an impact – especially for the people and causes working tirelessly to improve the well-being of others.

This is our 8th year doing this and, thanks to you, we will have supported over 100 organizations with more than $20,000 in total donations after this year’s contributions!  Your recommendations have resulted in donations to organizations such as:

Together, we are making a difference – one healthy, generous step at a time.

Thank YOU for all you do, for the way you show up in your communities, and for helping spread the Eat REAL America mission of simple, nourishing, REAL food!

  1. American Diabetes Association, EIN: 13-1623888
    Thank you!

One healthy tip, shop in the fruit/veggie area of your grocery store.

  2. I would love to be able to support the non profit Camp Mennoscah. It’s a church camp that provides all home cooked food to campers. With grocery prices continuing to rise, it would help keep camp affordable. Kids not only connect with their faith but with nature as well. Scholarships are given to kids who can’t afford to go. Just a great community outreach! EIN 45-4858198

  3. Sunlight Children’s Services Inc |EIN: 84-1648274
Their Children’s Home in Andover does so much for those in need!

Thank you, MISS YOU both, and hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

    • Any organization helping abused and neglected children needs all the support it can get. Love that they are helping these children find the light. Thanks for the recommendation! We miss you all too – hope you have a great Thanksgiving!

  4. On August 4, 2025, I took my 63-year-old cousin into the ER. She was diagnosed with Incurable, Terminal, Stage IV Brain Cancer (Glioblastoma). They removed the mass, and she completed 6 weeks of radiation. But last week she had her second MRI and was given a very short timeline of end of life. She entered a skilled nursing facility last Wednesday (11.19.2025). I would like to request you make a donation in her honor. Helen Ann Kulenich is not only my cousin, but like a sister to me. She will be greatly missed. She has no children, no spouse, no siblings, and no surviving parent.

The EIN for the Glioblastoma Foundation is 81-2849764. This organization is dedicated to funding research for glioblastoma and providing patient support services.

  5. Cure SMA
    EIN: 36-3320440

In honor of my granddaughters who were diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) – Brooke & Brielle Kennedy

    Thank you!
    Liz Miedel

  6. I’d also like to help our local Y: Morris Hospital YMCA, TaxID #36-2169197. They’ve made such a difference in our community!

  7. My charity organization is Crete Food Pantry. EIN# 36-2891599.
Many Crete organizations, churches and retail have year round food drives but during the holidays the demand is higher. My big tip is to start a garden and plant some of your own favorite vegetables. Start out small so it is not overwhelming but soon you will be adding more each year. It’s a great way to gift others, too, with your abundance.

    • Thanks for the recommendation – the holidays are always challenging – and rewarding – for food pantries. Love your tip to start a garden – and start small. We would love any other tips you are willing to share!

  8. Metrocrest Services, EIN: 75-1548334. Metrocrest is located in Carrollton, Texas and services several surrounding communities with food, rent, utilities, etc. With the government shutdown they have been a lifesaver for many families. Your generosity to help, especially now, is greatly appreciated. May y’all have a blessed Thanksgiving.

      • Thank you for blessing 25 charities ❤️ Your generosity is greatly appreciated. The holidays just became a little brighter for many families in need.

  9. Manhattan Community Gardens (in Manhattan, KS) is the oldest community garden in Kansas (founded in 1974). We have both organic and conventional gardening plots in two locations in and near Manhattan. I’ve gardened there since 1987 and it has definitely increased our consumption of vegetables over the years. MCG is administered by UFM Community Learning Center here in Manhattan. EIN: 23-7305200

  10. Morton Plant Mease Health Care Foundation

“The Foundation is a qualified charitable organization under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code, FEI#59-1751535 and Florida State Registration #CH321. The Foundation only grants funds to benefit the not-for-profit hospitals of Morton Plant Mease. 11. This is a great response with so many deserving organizations! I can’t tell if you have reached your limit so I am going to recommend Bike Walk Wichita! I have heard stories of your biking adventures and know that you support their mission. IT IS TOUGH TO BE GRANT FUNDED, I can totally relate and every little bit helps. Thank you for considering and enjoy your colorful Thanksgiving meal. 😃

    • Making biking and walking more accessible can make a HUGE difference in a community. Some of our favorite cities are ones where you can bike all over town – including to the farmers’ market! Thanks for the recommendation!

  12. Just like Shelley, I don’t know if you’ve reached the limit.

    Kelvin and I support
Peace Connections at 209 S. Pine in Newton
    48-0985867

They help individuals break the cycle of poverty.
    Thanks for all you do.
