Do you ever feel like there’s just too much going on to keep your REAL food routine alive?
If you do – we want to help you kick that thought to the curb!
With a little planning and determination, you can still enjoy delicious, nourishing meals, even in the middle of life’s chaos!
In this week’s video, we show how we kept REAL food front and center during a whirlwind week. This included savoring ingredients we picked up at the farmers’ market (like the Korean BBQ Chicken Tacos and the Chipotle Huevos Rancheros) while also making the most of ingredients from our fridge that needed to be used up (Portobello Burgers to the rescue).
We also share how we managed meals on the road while traveling to southwest Missouri to close on our new home! Check out our first meals in the new home and get your first glance of the kitchen. You will be seeing a lot of that kitchen going forward and we are super-excited to experiment with new angles, lighting, and sound to bring a little bit of our kitchen into yours!
And an unexpected surprise? We discovered a local orchard just minutes from our new home! We picked up some freshly harvested apples that inspired the Glazed Salmon Sandwiches when we returned to Wichita – and we can’t wait to share even more apple-inspired meals over the next few weeks.
๐ฅ Check it all out in this week’s video!
Tastes Like the Best Food Truck in Town ๐ (But Made at Home!)
Bring bold, irresistible flavor to your kitchen with these Korean BBQ Chicken Tacos โ perfectly sweet, savory, and spicy, all wrapped up in a warm tortilla. ๐ฎ And the best part? No fancy ingredients or food truck required! Weโll show you how to make them using what’s already in your kitchen. You can even cook the chicken in the slow cooker, so it is falling apart and tender when you walk through the door!
Coaching Tip of the Week

You’ve probably noticed we have been making a lot of substitutions lately. This is inevitable when you are making your own meals on the road and when you simply don’t have time to run to the store.
We used to be nervous about substitutions. Would it still taste good? Would it even work? I still remember making meatloaf as a teenager and accidentally using graham cracker crumbs instead of breadcrumbs. I was ready to cry and toss it out, but my grandma smiled and said, “we’re not going to tell anyone, and they will never know!” She was right – no one did! ๐
Like anything, substitutions get easier with practice. Before long, it becomes second nature – and maybe even a little fun! If you’re not sure where to start – or just need some ideas – check out our coaching tips for quick guidance:

LEARN MORE ABOUT THE NAPKIN!

Substituting ingredients in the kitchen is usually riski, but at the same time is good. Whenever you do this and use healthier subs is a plus. Apart from this it is something different from what you usually do.
Amazing. I can’t believe it – you make a big move so easy – moving and purchasing a new home is supposed to be one of the most stressful things in life. I am so impressed and inspired by you.
