Are you ready for something new?!
For the next few weeks, we’re shaking up our Tuesday Coaching Tips – we are swapping our written posts for short, behind-the-scenes videos!
We are providing a glimpse into how we make REAL food work in the middle of real life – and we would love to hear what you think.
Small Changes Can Make a Big Difference!
As you know, we have hundreds of searchable Coaching Tips on the website. Practical doses of information, inspiration and encouragement to help you embrace REAL food and live your healthiest, happiest life.
We are so thankful for your feedback and many comments over the years. One of the themes we hear over and over again is:
“I understand the REAL food lifestyle, but I struggle to make it work in the middle of my busy life.”
Or…
“I know what I need to do, but I need more ideas and inspiration during the week to stay on track.”
REAL Food. REAL Life.
Trust us – we’re no different from anyone else. We have had to learn how to make REAL food second nature, even on the busiest days. That’s why, for the next few weeks, we’re mixing things up.
So, your Eat REAL America Coaching Tip for the next few Tuesdays will include short videos to give you a peek into how we live out our REAL food routine in REAL life.
You will see what we buy at the farmers’ market and how that guides our meals. You will see what we eat when we have a plan – and when we don’t. You will see how we navigate REAL food on the road. And what we do to keep things affordable. And we hope you can see the rhythm of how we prepare and enjoy REAL food meals among the chaos of everyday life.
Weekly Review and Inspiration
These videos will be a little different than our What do we eat? series, where we documented everything we ate during 47 days of Lent. For the next few weeks, we will share weekly highlight recaps, keeping it quick and fun to watch.
Here is our recap of last week (all of the chaos included!):
We will also be sharing bonus videos showing more details on meals we’re preparing, often using ingredients fresh from the farmers’ market.
Here are those videos and the recipes that go with them:

LEARN MORE ABOUT THE NAPKIN!

I have a comment on the above video for your recipe ” Cherry Tomato Margherita Pizza” In the video you show using a Whole Wheat Lavash Wrap. On the website it shows this recipe made with a whole wheat pizza crust. I just wondered if you were going to update the website showing different options for the crust.
Chrislie – Thank you for the comment, and so glad you asked! You will see we do a lot of modifying based on what we have on hand. I was not going to mention these specific whole wheat flatbreads from Trader Joe’s because not all Trader Joe’s locations have them (which is why we stock up and freeze them). Feel free to use whatever whole wheat or whole grain pizza crust, flatbread or even pita bread that you can find! Thank you again!
Loved that the videos are short but informative and interesting. I will try the pizza and the chocolate ice cream. I already do the oats with the make ahead muesli that I eat almost every day with strawberries. Why do the videos disappear after I watch them..
Victoria – Thank you so much for the feedback! I hope you love the pizza and ice cream as much as we do! When the video is done, you can either click the replay button at the bottom left corner of the video (it is a circle with an arrow in it) or you can go to our You Tube Channel and watch all of the videos there as well. Here is that link: https://www.youtube.com/@eatrealamerica4630/videos. Thank you again!
I love these videos; I love your excitement and enthusiasm when preparing meals and I love to see the finished product. I can read a recipe and say that sounds like it would be good because I like all the ingredients, but when I actually see the preparation, it makes me more likely to make the recipe. I would vote to continue these videos.
Thank you Krista (and Scott) for making me want to eat healthier, better meals.
Thank you Linda! This is exactly why we created these videos, to help people just like you be able to see how to do it! We are so grateful that you think this will help you put it into practice, and thank you again for giving us your thoughts!
Love the videos and agree that they are even more inspirational that the recipes alone. Like that you add the core recipe links with them. Might be even to see the mods you made listed as well to help me remember w/o rewatching 🙂
A question also … sometimes i just hate lugging out my big food processor for small jobs. Did you say that small one for the nice cream was a mini Ninja? If you have any other info about it I’d take it.
Teresa – Thank you for the feedback! I have added our modifications to the recipes in the comments section. I love that you asked about the mini Ninja, it is one of my favorite small gadgets and I think you will be amazed what it can do, such as hummus, pesto, chopping nuts, and making banana ice cream! Here is a link to our coaching tip where we mention all of our favorite kitchen gadgets and the mini Ninja is included in this tip:https://eatrealamerica.com/2020/01/gift-giving-made-easy-2/. I hope this helps, thank you again!
I love shorts! This is a great idea.
Thank you Jackie – I love that you enjoy them!
