Week of July 27, 2020 - Weekly Meal Ideas


Hot summer nights?  We got ’em!  We also have some great meal ideas that will help beat the heat and get some delicious meals on the table quickly and easily!

The Summer Veggie Skillet and the One-Pot Zucchini Pasta are both quick and easy, plus they are incredibly good.  Then, grab some cherry tomatoes from your garden or the market and enjoy the Roasted Tomato Sloppy Joes.  If you are looking for a refreshing and delicious side dish, don’t miss out on the Tomato Cantaloupe Salad.  We prepared this at a farmers’ market cooking demo last weekend and people absolutely loved it…another example of how amazing a few fresh, in-season ingredients – simply prepared – can taste!

If you are firing up the grill, cook some chicken for the Grilled Chicken Sandwich with Basil & Blueberry Sauce.  It goes perfectly with the Kale Salad with Spiced Almonds.  You can also grill the salmon and some or all of the veggies for the Citrus Salmon Rice Salad.

And, don’t forget dessert!  Fresh, in-season blackberries and peaches will help you tantalize your taste buds with the Blackberry Peach Crisp!
