If you are still looking for a delicious Valentine’s Day meal, you can’t go wrong with the Sunday Sauce Inspired by Lidia – we love it served over spaghetti squash.  Pair it with the Berry Bliss Salad with Raspberry Vinaigrette (inspired by an Eat REAL America member!) and finish with the Dark Chocolate Covered Strawberries for a flavor-loaded, restaurant worthy meal at home.

Fat Tuesday is next Tuesday (February 17th)!  Even if you can’t celebrate Mardi Gras in New Orleans, you can absolutely EAT Mardi Gras-style.  The Jambalaya Lentil Bowl is hearty, flavorful and satisfying.  It works perfectly with shrimp, chicken or sausage – or go vegetarian and let the lentils shine as your protein.  Pair it with the Creamy Kale & Swiss Chard for a meal that’s both nourishing and indulgent.

Tuesday is also Shrove Tuesday (Pancake Day), a tradition that dates back to the old English custom of using up ingredients like eggs and milk before the start of Lent.  Add a couple of simple ingredients and you’ve got pancakes!  Celebrate the tradition REAL food style with the Spaghetti Squash Pancakes – healthy, delicious, and one of our favorites made with just a few, simple, REAL ingredients.

For those observing the season of Lent, we’ll be sharing some amazing seafood and vegetarian meals in the coming weeks – starting with the fantastic Chile Lime Salmon Fajita Salad.  It’s fresh, vibrant, and truly tastes like it came from the best restaurant in town.
