June is officially considered National Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Month but, as you know, Eat REAL America considers EVERY month Fruit and Vegetable Month! So, we have you covered…the meal ideas this week are loaded with great-tasting ideas on what to do with a variety of fresh, in-season ingredients such as sugar snap peas, radishes, fennel, strawberries, cucumbers, onions, basil, greens (such as kale, romaine and spinach) and more! From the Spinach Stuffed Salmon to the Cobb Salad with REAL Green Goddess Dressing, you can eat well this week!
Maybe you are currently trying new things, or just enjoying new preparations. Either way, fresh, quality, in-season ingredients will take your meals to another level! And, remember, it doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming…the Pasta Puttanesca, Panzanella Salad and Roasted Fennel, Chickpeas & Kale are great examples of how just a few in-season ingredients, simply-prepared, can taste absolutely amazing!
With the availability of strawberries fresh from the patch right now, we had to share the Strawberry Gazpacho…if you have never tried cold soup, this one will blow your taste buds away!
Please let us know if there is a food you want to know what do to with or how to prepare — we love your feedback and ideas!
