This week, we are celebrating Kansas City and San Francisco in the meal ideas! We are huge Chiefs’ fans, but San Francisco is one of our favorite food cities!
Of course, Kansas City is well-known for its barbecue. Give the Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken Tacos a try – it takes only five minutes to get it together in the morning and then, by dinnertime, the chicken is tender, falling apart and ready for tacos! You could pair them with the Kale Chopped Salad with Maple Almond Vinaigrette, which was inspired by one of our favorite Kansas City restaurants – The Westside Local.
San Francisco serves up some amazing seafood stews and we hope you enjoy the Spicy Fish Stew – it has great flavor, and feel free to include whatever seafood you’re craving. And, of course, SF is known for Ghirardelli chocolate, which is ideal for the Dark Chocolate Covered Strawberries!
The strawberries would be perfect for a Valentine’s Day dessert, after enjoying the Surprise Spaghetti Bolognese – don’t tell them the “secret” until after they have licked their plates clean!
Some other ideas that would be a hit at your Super Bowl party include the Seven Layer Dip or the Banh Mi Burger Bowl (or the Banh Mi Burger), served up with a side of Sweet Potato Fries.
Next week, we will have ideas to celebrate Fat Tuesday, Ash Wednesday and Valentine’s Day!
– Super Bowl snacks don’t have to be unhealthy to be delicious!
