In case you didn’t know, it is National Farmers’ Market Week!  This weekend is the perfect time to visit your local market and pick up freshly-harvested produce, grass-fed meats and other great ingredients for your meals this week.

We have included fantastic ideas to take advantage of these in-season ingredients including watermelon, zucchini, fresh corn on the cob, cucumbers, tomatoes, fresh greens, basil, peppers, garlic, shallots, onions and so much more.  And, in some areas, okra has just hit the scene — pick some up and try the Roasted Potato and Okra Salad, we think you will love it!

Make your week a little easier and cook up some Seasoned Slow Cooker Chicken and then you will have tender falling apart chicken ready to whip up delicious meals such as the Chicken and Grilled Veggie Tacos and the Chicken Taco Salad with Cilantro Vinaigrette.
