Week of July 20, 2020 - Weekly Meal Ideas


What a great time to enjoy the freshest, in-season produce from our gardens and the farmers’ market!  Here are just some of the flavorful ingredients to add to your shopping list for this week’s meals:  cherry tomatoes, blueberries, cucumbers, tomatoes, peaches, cantaloupe, garlic, bell peppers, fresh basil and mint…which is a perfect list for a trip to the farmers’ market!

If you are trying to beat the heat this week, the EBLT with Balsamic Mayo, Summer Peach Lettuce Wraps and Middle Eastern Inspired Chicken Sandwich will help keep things quick and easy, plus they are all so incredibly delicious!

While we can’t go to Italy right now, we can bring a little bit of Italy into our kitchens and onto our tables.  Enjoying the Take Me to Italy Tomato & Garlic Pasta and the Tomato & Basil Bruschetta are all you need – just close your eyes and you will feel like you are dining in a quaint Italian village.  Of course, a good glass of wine will help too!

If you are firing up the grill, try the Pork Chops with Blueberry Ginger Relish – crazy good!  Plus, they go great with the Honey Lime Chickpea Salad, which is also excellent to serve to family and friends at summer get-togethers.
