Why We Like It
If you like chocolate, we think you will LOVE these pancakes! Loaded with cocao powder, dark chocolate chips and a creamy chocolate sauce to drizzle on top, they are a healthy way to enjoy some chocolate indulgence! Or, substitute the chocolate sauce for warm natural peanut butter...and wonder "is this breakfast or dessert?!"
Mash First:
Add to a medium size bowl and mash with a fork. |
Add the Wet Ingredients:
Add to the bowl with the banana and stir to combine. |
Add the Dry Ingredients:
Add old fashioned rolled oats to a small food processor or blender to blend into oat flour and add it, along with the cocoa powder and baking powder, to the bowl with everything else. Stir until well combined.
Add Last and Cook the Pancakes:
Add to the bowl with everything else and stir to combine. Use a little bit less than 1/4 cup to measure out the batter and cook the pancakes in a greased skillet or on a griddle, flipping once, until browned on both sides. |
Make the Chocolate Sauce:
Add to a small bowl or mason jar and stir or shake to combine. (As you are stirring to combine, it will feel like it is never going to blend together, just keep stirring and it will eventually combine together!) |
Serve and Enjoy!
Serve the pancakes with some chocolate sauce drizzled on top! |
