Welcome to fall! Well almost – just a few more days!
This Saturday also marks the start of Oktoberfest. Since we can’t be in Munich to participate in the festivities, we can bring the taste of Germany into our kitchens with the One-Pot Oktoberfest! It would go great with the Baked Onion Rings.
If you haven’t noticed, apples are in full swing right now! Pick up some freshly picked apples and enjoy the Skillet Pork Chops with Apples & Onions, and then slice one to include as a topping on the Glazed Salmon Sandwiches. These are both absolutely delicious and will help you embrace fall flavors.
Our Tuesday coaching tip talked about the transition from summer to fall at the farmers’ markets. This makes it an ideal time to enjoy meals like the Spaghetti Squash Hash, which is an excellent breakfast or quick and easy dinner. And the Eggplant Tomato Salsa is fantastic with just-harvested local ingredients, and it would be a perfect side dish with the Mexican Lentil Tacos!
Get the season started off right with the Harvest Pumpkin Bars! AMAZING! INCREDIBLE! CRAZY GOOD! These are just some of the compliments these Pumpkin Bars receive. They are gluten free, so easy to put together, and a great way to use canned pumpkin!
Have a wonderful weekend!
