In honor of May being National BBQ month, we have included an excellent Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken Taco meal idea – the flavor is amazing with the Blue Cheese Coleslaw that provides the topping for the tacos! Ultimate YUM! If you have never paid attention to the ingredients in your favorite BBQ sauce, you might do some checking and make sure the ingredients are at least recognizable! In our area, we love Chile Slinger BBQ sauce, which is made locally…with REAL ingredients and without a lot of added sugars! Often, the local small-batch producers provide high-quality products with a recognizable list of ingredients!
This week is loaded with delicious ideas…the Pineapple Pork Fried Rice (it’s a healthy version, of course, and the whole family loves it!), the Shrimp, Sweet Potato and Kale Skillet (quick, easy and incredibly good!), and you can’t go wrong with the Raw Pad Thai (amazing flavor!). I also have to mention the Almond Butter Bites — they are a fantastic grab-and-go breakfast, quick snack or dessert to satisfy your sweet tooth!
