All those plants that have been growing for weeks are now ready to “pop” with flavor and nutrition! We want to help you enjoy the beginning of summer tomatoes, the last batches of spring strawberries and all those other in-season ingredients.
If you are looking for a flavorful and refreshing meal to kick back with a glass of wine, be sure to put the Summertime Bolognese or the Blackened Salmon with Avocado Cucumber Salsa on the menu. Or, if your theme needs to be quick and easy because you are running to softball, baseball or other activities, enjoy the Chilled Noodle Summer Salad or the Ham Panini with Blackberry Mustard (fantastic with freshly-picked blackberries).
Fire up the grill for the Grilled Chicken with Rhubarb Chutney — it’s absolutely delicious and would go perfectly with the Strawberry Tabbouleh. And, kohlrabi are in abundance right now…the Chile Kohlrabi Fries would be an excellent addition to any of the entrees this week.
Look for more summer inspiration and fun 4th of July ideas coming in the next few weeks!
