Week of July 17, 2023 - Weekly Meal Ideas


What a great time to enjoy the freshest, in-season produce from your gardens and the farmers’ market!  Here are just some of the flavorful ingredients to add to your shopping list for this week’s meals:  tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, blackberries, cucumbers, peaches, beets, cabbage, carrots, dark leafy greens, garlic, fresh basil and dill…which is a perfect list for a trip to the farmers’ market!

If you are trying to beat the heat this week, the Raw Pad Thai and the Grilled Peach Burgers will help keep things quick and easy, plus they are incredibly delicious!

Make the most of all those juicy summer tomatoes by enjoying the Parmesan Panko Tomatoes and the Pan Con Tomate (a fancy way of saying “garlic bread with tomato” – people are always blown away by this one!).  You can even use fresh tomatoes in the Baked Cod with Herbed Tomato Sauce (and don’t forget those fresh herbs!).

Some people shy away from the idea of putting fruits and vegetables together in the same dish.  If that is you or someone you know, we encourage you to try the Summer Bounty Buddha Bowl and the Cajun Chicken Salad with Grilled Peaches.  It’s like summer in a bowl!
