Week of September 12, 2016 - Weekly Meal Ideas


Hello Autumn!  Ok, we realize Autumn doesn’t officially start for two more weeks, but we are ready!  Bring on the apples, pears, and winter squash…and the cooler temperatures!  We will ease you into the change of seasons with the delicious Tuscan Summer Minestrone.  Either make your own sun-dried tomato pesto to top this delicious minestrone or pick up a jar at the store (don’t forget to read the ingredient label)…either way, it’s fantastic!

And, since we are still enjoying the end of summer flavors, we are excited to tell you about a few of the other meal ideas this week!  If your September starts off anything like ours, you may need some quick and easy ideas to get you through the week!  The Grilled Veggie Salad with Greek Vinaigrette and the Coconut Fish Nuggets with Avocado Wasabi Sauce are ideal for busy weeknights!

You probably won’t believe us when we tell you our son LOVES Parsnip Fries…out of the hundreds of recipes on Eat REAL America, it’s definitely one of his all-time favorites…he even requests them on his birthday!  They go perfectly with the Cheeseburger Quinoa Bites.  When it comes to favorites, the Bi Bim Bop is a memorable meal that will make you love Korean food (that is, if you don’t already!)  Plus, the curry roasted cauliflower makes a fantastic side dish, and is also great for a super-healthy and delicious snack!

Every day may not be good, but there is something good in every day…especially when you are enjoying REAL food!
