Tomatoes, zucchini, watermelon, peaches, peppers, okra, fresh greens and herbs…and so much more! Take advantage while you can! So many times, we enjoy meals in the summer and find ourselves saying, “there is no way this would be as flavorful as it is RIGHT NOW!” That’s the power of fresh, local, in-season ingredients!
Several meal ideas this week are excellent examples…the Hatch Chile Southwest Quinoa, Grilled Peach Burgers, and Herbed Orzo Salad with Grilled Zucchini! A great way to try okra is the Blackened Okra with Red Rice – absolutely delicious! Another one to savor right now is the Balsamic Watermelon Chicken Salad – fresh juicy watermelon completes the flavor of this incredible salad!
