Week of November 17, 2014 - Weekly Meal Ideas


It’s definitely chili time!  We all have our “go-to” chili recipes, but in this week’s meal ideas is a mouthwatering slow cooker Mexican version which includes leftovers for a Loaded Sweet Potato with Mexican Chili!  Two delicious meals that are super easy to prepare — DONE!  We also have several other “warming” meals such as the Baked Cod with Tomato and Feta Sauce and a One-Pot Braised Chicken with Tomatoes that goes perfectly with the Braised Red Cabbage with Apples!  Or, if you are in the mood for some in-season veggies, the Fall Harvest Kale Salad is a bowl full of awesomeness!  Savor soup season and enjoy REAL food!

In the next two weeks we will be giving you Thanksgiving ideas, including some great leftover turkey ideas, but just in case you (or someone you know) are wanting someone else to do the Thanksgiving cooking for you, here are some local options:

Garden Grill Cafe will be preparing a special Thanksgiving meal for delivery Wednesday 26.  Delivery will be from 4-7pm and carryout will be available from the Garden Grill Cafe beginning at 12 Noon.  Call 316-978-9213 for more details!

Don’t forget…the Kansas Grown Indoor Market will be Saturday, November 22!  If you pre-ordered a turkey from Phil’s Farm, this is the day you will pick it up!
