Fire up the grill because July is National Grilling Month! So, if there is a vegetable or food you are not sure what to do with…chances are, you can grill it!
We have included some fantastic grilling ideas in this week’s meal ideas — the Thai Steak Summer Salad, Grilled Veggie Quesadillas with Kale Pesto and Grilled Artichokes! You may be as shocked as we were how delicious artichokes are on the grill! And, with a cilantro lime dipping sauce…your taste buds will be screaming for more! Plus, did we mention they are super-healthy?!
Take advantage of fresh, in-season juicy peaches (the July Superfood of the Month), with the Skillet Pork Chops with Peaches and the Summer Peach and Tomato Salad…a perfect example of how it only takes a few simple quality ingredients to have a wonderful, flavor-popping meal. So, go ahead and get your peach on!
Speaking of fresh, blueberries are in-season in many parts of the country. The Blueberry Yogurt Pancakes are a fantastic breakfast option and would also be great for a light dinner on a hot summer day!
And, not only is July National Grilling Month, but it is also National Baked Bean Month. To help you celebrate, we have “healthified” the traditional sugar-laden baked beans with the Stove Top Baked Beans. We served them to family who were visiting from out of town and they received a unanimous thumbs-up!
– Food is essential to life; therefore, make it good (and make it REAL)!
