Week of April 21, 2014 - Weekly Meal Ideas

Happy Easter to all of the Get REAL Wichita family!  Don’t forget about the Easter-inspired meal ideas from last week.  Then, after all of your Easter celebrations this weekend, we have included some meal ideas for next week to make use of some of those leftovers – including ham and hard boiled eggs.  We are assuming our family might not be the only ones trying to figure out what to do with the abundance of hard boiled eggs!  The Avocado Egg Salad is a delicious variation from the typical egg salad and the avocado makes it smooth and creamy!  The Ham Panini with Blackberry Mustard is also great – I know you may be thinking blackberry and mustard, together?  Don’t knock it until you try it – super yummy!  The Slow Cooker Pork Chops with Pear Honey Jam are fantastic and perfect for a busy weeknight – but don’t expect them to stay together…they will be tender and falling apart!  We have also included some amazing Spring-like recipes such as the Roasted Garlic Parmesan Edamame, the Spring Vegetable Orzo Pasta Salad and the Roasted Romaine and Chicken Caesar Salad (with a simple, great-tasting, healthy dressing)!

Thank you for being a part of Get REAL Wichita and we hope you enjoy the meal ideas this week!
